His Story...
In 1979, after completing training at Howard University , Dr. Corder and his wife also, a pediatrician Dr. Marilyn McPherson Corder moved to Prince Georges county as one of the first & only private Black pediatricians. Their practice grew with the county and was known as The Landover Mall Doctor, Dr. Corder was the first physician to have an office along with the retail shops and restaurants’ in a busy urban Mall. The practice had over 7 locations (throughout the DMV & over 11 clinicians. For over 40 years, we have transitioned with time & NOW WE ARE GOING VIRTUAL!
Dr. Corder believes that health is not just the absence of disease, but a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.
He has been there for his patients maintaining a level of comfort for his patients parents. We strive to promote holistic health and wellness in a creative way through our new services and patient / family education sessions.
His Expertise
Dr. Corder has been board certified since 1986 in pediatric medicine and has constantly updated his skills to stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements for over 40 years. He has been able to stay relevant and an informed physician for his patients. Dr. Corder has been the chief of pediatric medicine, since 1985, at the formally known hospital Prince George's County Hospital, now University of Maryland Capital Regional Health. He has cared for ten's of thousands of newborn babies as the primary pediatrician for the county's largest hospital. Dr. Corder has remained committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients and NOW with his online portal he is excited to work with his families even closer than before.
